TEEM Mentoring
Technology Enabled Engagement with Mentoring™ (TEEM) is a mentee-driven experiential learning program that facilitates structured, high-impact, online mentoring engagements. The program emphasizes student career exposure, real-world application of knowledge, and professional and soft skills development via structured mentoring with an industry professional. The program has also been utilized with college students mentoring high school students who are learning about different paths of study.
Facilitated by the Workforce Insights as a Service™ (WIaaS™) platform, students prepare for their mentoring engagement where they lead the meeting via a comprehensive, highly structured agenda. TEEM also has the added benefit of reducing mentor engagement barriers, such as lack of readiness and time commitments, which have in the past limited mentors’ willingness to participate.
Other features include:
- Ability to include customer provided or 3rd party learning content
- Integrated web conferencing software, with AI driven analysis
- Ability to gamify learning experience
- Pre and post surveys and reporting

TEEM programs can be readily designed, developed and deployed for any student-level and career-area combination, and have supported student workforce-readiness in industries as diverse as technology, healthcare and construction, At the end of the program students have shown an 80% increase in career-area awareness, topic knowledge and confidence. The program was developed in partnership with the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative of Virginia and to date more than 300 students have successfully finished the program.

TEEM for Education
Since its introduction more than 40 high schools, colleges/universities and trade schools have been part of TEEM programs with students acting both as mentees and mentors. Many of these schools have made TEEM the foundation to deliver high quality work-based learning programs (HQWBL). As part of its early development, CTEWorkforce partnered with the Virginia Department of Labor to ensure that the program delivered the three key components of a successful HQWBL program including:
- The alignment of classroom and workplace learning;
- The application of academic, technical and employability skills, and;
- Hands-on involvement academic and/or workplace mentors

TEEM for Organizations
The TEEM solution is perfectly suited for organizations who have or plan to implement employee upskilling or reskilling programs. With a complete administrative back end, adding or creating learning content has never been easier. Employee progress can be tracked and rewarded utilizing integrated testing, and the awarding of certifications or badges based on the successful completion of the designation course content.
As more organizations are implementing internal mentorship programs TEEM also provides end to end functionality to satisfy that requirement as well.
